I've installed Freetrack and I've made my cap. All is ok but I've two questions:
- Does my Logitech Quickcam Zoom need the IR filter to be removed for to see IR leds better or this camera hasn't any IR filter? - I use Flight Simulator 2004 with two monitor in span mode, so normally I've to set the zoom factor at 50% for to have the right zoom level in the simulation. Using Freetrack I can't set the zoom factor in FS2004 at 50% because freetrack send it to FSUIPC with values right for the single monitor view. It would be appreciated if someone will add a function in FreeTrack for to set a multipler for the user the has more than a monitor spanned (with values 1x for one monitor, 0.5x for two monitor, 0.33x for tree monitors, etc.). With this multipler the values sended to FSUIPC will be decreased to the right zoom factos. Now the single one thing I can do is to set the center position behind my real position during the game so, when I go back on the chair, the zoom level will be correct. It's not much easy. |

The next version will be 6dof capable in FS2004 with translation and no zoom. Zooming isn't smooth using FSUIPC anyway.

I read sometimes "6dof", "2dof"... What does it mean? Why not zoom anymore? |

2dof : Two degrees of freedom [Yaw, Pitch] 6dof : Six degrees of freedom [Yaw, Pitch, Roll, X, Y, Z]
Z axis translates forward/back instead of zooming. |
