Hi Kestrel,

you seem to be a glider pilot according to your user name.

I was flying gliders in real life some 30 years ago and want to start again with a simulation. Soaring in FS9 is not that good, so I am looking for a good soaring simulation, which may bring me back some of the joy I had long time ago.

I know about limitations of aa simulation vs real, but at least FreeTrack contributes to a huge amount of feeling the reality. Thanks for this great product.

Can you, or any other real life glig´der pilot recommend me a simulation?
Silent Wings looks quite good. I am downloading now the demo. But there are other simulators available.

Thanks for any hint and advice.

Didja is the resident real life glider pilot, he uses Condor: The Competition Soaring Simulator www.condorsoaring.com

With regards to head tracking Condor is limited to two degrees of freedom while Silent Wings has the full six degrees of freedom.

Yes, I really advice you to get Condor if you want to remember the flight feelings ! :)

And there are loads of animations around this sim, huge competions are planned sometimes if you like that, etc...

There is a great community also, so you can get some helps about every hour of the day :) ...
