I finally got my freetrack setup working...thank you very much, looks great!

I have a 3 point cap with wii remote and am using IL-2 with AAA UI1.1.1 Mods.

6dof works great, but the joystick is dead in game. Joystick works out of game, (when you use the test in control panel/game controllers.) Is there a trick to getting both to work in game?

I am using a Targus Bluetooth USB dongle and Bluesoleil. The joystick is Saitek Rumble force cyborg 3d.

In control panel/game controllers (in windows) the wii remote shows up as "unknown".

Thank You
Marmusman

I worked out the problem. Wii Remote becomes joystick ID1 and flight joystick becomes joystick ID2. You have to go into the "controls" assignment and re-assign the HOTAS commands at bottom of list. I had originally tries this, but it was the upper list of commands meant for keyboard commands.

for example, go to HOTAS command list, click on "Elevator" assignment and then pull the joystick back. It then getts assigned. Hint: if the joystick is working but is reversed, push stick in the opposite direction.

This issue may be obvious to some, but I had never manually assigned my joystick commands, they worked correctly in the initial installation.

Sadly, it doesn't work for IL2.

BUT, I found a way and it works for me. I try to summarize it briefly here:
1. disconnect wii remote
2. disable the BT HID from control panel>system>hardware
3. Start IL2 and enter the hardware setting>input to see if you can use your joystick. stay here and switch to your xp desktop
4. enable the BT HID in control panel>system>hardware
5. connect your wii remote and start free-track
6. return to IL2 and enjoy the flight with 6 dof.

this is what I did after I found JoyID2 doesn't work for me.

Good luck,
