Hi all,
"Access violation at address 00402272 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'. Write address of 4029B311." To all those with the access violation error above in FreeTrack v2.2, a fix has been found! Turns out it's caused by using the 120dpi display setting in Windows. Changing this back to the default 96dpi solves the problem! Full credit and my undying love goes to Gus, who discovered the fix: http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=1258&page=2 It would be good if the mods could please sticky this or add it to the FAQ. Given it's caused by a fairly commonly used display setting its worth noting at least until it's fixed. Also, if this fix works for you (or doesn't) please post here! Again, a massive thank you to Gus who registered to post this fix. Three cheers for Gus! =====EDIT===== This fix is for the following error: "Access violation at address 00402272 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'. Write address of 4029B311." For a detailed description of the error please refer here: http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=1258&page=1 =====EDIT===== Apparently this fix also works for a similar error in Win7 (see Ragman42's post below): "Access Violation at address 00402078 in module FreeTrack.exe. Read of address 4029B30D."

"Access violation at address 00402272 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'. Write address of 4029B311."
If the error code you receive is different to this, you probably have a different problem. The error this fix is for is described in detail here: http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=1258&page=1 |

Different problem then I guess. Everyone with this issue so far has had the exact same error message.
You could try searching the forum. I think there was another access violation error that was fixed recently too. Other than that I cant help, sorry. |

ok, i saw that message is coming when i want to get out my game (il2 1946)with "alt+tab" keys, in order to control my freetrack.
If i close my game before, i have no error message... so no problems |

Sorry I don't have an answer but it's probably better if you make a new thread for this given it's a different error. This thread was sticked as a fix for a specific known problem, so you might be more likely to get an answer with your own thread.
Good luck! Cheers |

Thanks, Rocket.
Just an FYI, My error codes with Win7b-64 were Access Violation at address 00402078 in module FreeTrack.exe. Read of address 4029B30D. followed by Exception EAccessViolation in module FreeTrack.exe at 00019779. Access Violation at address 00419779 in module FreeTrack.exe. Read of address 40239CA6. But this fix worked for it. |

Hi,
I have this; Access Violation at address 00402078 in module FreeTrack.exe. Read of address 4029B30D. followed by Exception EAccessViolation in module FreeTrack.exe at 00019779. Access Violation at address 00419779 in module FreeTrack.exe. Read of address 40239CA6. problem and the 96 dpi trick did not solved my problem. This is a new laptop with a 1920x1080 resolution, win7 64bit running on a i7 with a built in camera. FYI I am a little bit suspicious about the webcam as while if another application using the camera then frree-track gives an access violation error. Any Ideas? |
