Hi everybody,
I have connected my wiimote to my pc and then i started freetrack. Freetrack let me now choose at the bottom to use the Wii Remote #1. But when i select it the button start changes and i could not click on it.
I tried the same on my old xp pc and everything works fine. I have also used my wiimote with glovepie so the connection has to be good. There is really this only problem that freetrack don't let me use my wiimote.

Your are my last hope!! Thanks a lot

I have the Vista x86 version

Thanks a lot!!!!

Did you use the Wiimote with GlovePie on the old XP pc, or the Vista PC?

What Bluetooth stack are you using on the Vista PC?

I have the same problem and used Glovepie without any problems.
My Bluetooth Adapter is manufactured by Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd.
And runs with the standard Wiondows Vista Drivers.

I tried it with Blue Soleil Drivers but they interfere with the windows ones.

Please help me I don't know what to do.

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

Same Problem here with Vista Business 32, Bluesoleil 2.7.0.8 and an internal Bluetooth Adapter.

The only workaround I found is to deinstall the Bluetooth Adapter in the device manager (dont remove the drivers if it asks) and then search for new hardware to install it again.

My wiimote will then work with Freetrack until the next reboot.

You only run one Bluetooth Stack.  To install Blue Soleil, first uninstall the stack that came with Windows.

Everything works fine under Windows XP. But when i go to my vista computer it doesn't. I connected my Wiimotes with the vista computer. Glovepie worked fine with one controller at the beginning. After a few tries now it does not work. But at the time it worked, freetrack does not work. It shows me that a wiimote is connected but i can't press start button.
This is really strange. I used different stacks, as well as the blue soleil software but nothing helped. I think blue soleil does not work under vista.

thanks michi

Blue Soleil is working here, under Vista 64 bit, when no other Bluetooth stack that I could find/try would get the Wiimote talking to FreeTrack.  My laptop's built-in Bluetooth is a Broadcom chipset, IIRC.

I did not work. Now I tried a toshiba stack, and everything seems to be the same. The only thing that is possible in glovepie is to make the leds of the wiimote glow. Everything else does not work. I can't even use it as a controller, really the only thing that works is the led. In Freetrack now i can use the wiimote in the rollout menü in the cam section. But when i select it the start button can't be pressed.

thanks michi

In GlovePIE under the TroubleShooter menu there is a 'BlueTooth Fix' which sometimes gets it working. Have you tried it?

I have the exact same problem! The Wiimote #1 shows up but the 'start' button is greyed out. Has there been a fix for this yet?

I have the same problem.  I was trying to submit a new post when I read this one...  Here is my post, which fit in this thread.

Title: WIDCOMM detects Wii, but FreeTrack doesnt in Vista Home Premium64

K33348B Kensington BT dongle and wii used to work on XP for FT2.2

I used to run FreeTrack 2.2 (i.e. latest release) with a genuine Wii remote just fine using a Kensinton Bluetooth dongle (model K33348B) under Windoes Home Edition 32Bit SP3.

I have a new desktop based on an Intel I7 920 CPU under Vista Home Premium 64Bit.

The Wii seems to connect just fine using this BT dongle according to the WPF Wii Data Visualizer:
http://www.designerwpf.com/2008/01/29/wpf-multi-point-tutorials-part-15-wpf-visualization-of-wii-data/

Although Free Track 2.2 listteh Wii remorte, the start button is greyed out and no tracking can be started.

Note thate I installed directly the latest BT driver and application update from Kensigton site.  Shall I revert back to the old drivers (i.e. from original install CD) I was using on my previous XP system?

I also deleted Freetrack.ini and not to avail the issue remains.  Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance,
Donat
