With FreeTrack 2.2.0.279 my webcam records on average at 14fps, but it used to capture at 28-30fps.

The drop in performance happened during the iteration of FT2.2 Beta (I was a beta tester).  At the time I suspected that my system and/or webcam driver were responsible and needed re-install.  I have now a fresh XP Home SP3 and driver install and still my webcam is averaging 14fps.

Anyone has observed a drop in webcam performance for no apparent reason?

At some point I'll buy my own Wii remote but for the time being I need to make the most of my EZ Cam IV (by Ezonics).

Thank you in advance for your suggestions and comments.

Check your webcam settings to see if its set at 15fps max. Sorry, that's all I can think of. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion.

1 Try to closed all others webcam applications

2 Try to change Tracking resolution

3 Try to change Compressor

4 try to change FPS multiplication (like didja tell you) - Try to have a little less FPS that your webcam can view for example if Webcam FPS is 30 - try 28 ...

5 Try different webcam driver with all auto features disable ....

6 Try to have last directx 9.0c

7 no other idea for the moment .... :gene:
