I use a 3-point cap set up with a Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000. With Version 2.1, I had a consistent 29-30 fps on FS2004, but 10-12 jitter. With 2.2, I now have the opposite. My FPS won't rise above 16, but jitter stays down in the 3-4 range. Any ideas of how to increase my FPS from 15? Is there an auto-exposure button somewhere or another option? Thanks in advance for your help, 15 fps is killing me!
Edit: I just realized that when Free-track is running alone (no FS2004 yet) I get 30 FPS and 00 jitter, but as soon as I start up FS2004, FPS decreases to 10-15 and Jitter increases slightly. Hopefully this info can help solve the issue.

Are you using the default screen in FT? If you are not sure click on stream, and look in the outputsize box, if it says 352 by 288 its using the default size which limits my frames to 11-14 FPS, click on the output size box and then choose 160 by 120, click on apply and okay. The small FT output screen will be very small but you should get a smooth 25-30 FPS.
I hope this helps. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried reducing the size of the window, but the issue remains unchanged. Before starting fs2004, my FPS is a perfect 30, but as soon as I load the game, I'm down to 10-15.

Did you try the suggestion from the software FAQ http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=455 ?
My webcam's Auto-Exposure (AE) is on and the option is greyed out so I can't turn it off! Try to enable the option by using Enable Button or WindowsEnabler for XP or VistaEnabler for Vista. In the case of Microsoft VX-1000: 1. Set auto exposure on (default) and exposure value to 0 (or a little higher). 2. Place a bright light source, like a lamp, in the field of view of the camera so that it reaches 30fps. 3. Disable auto exposure with one of the enable button apps. 4. Switch the light off, the camera should still be producing 30fps and will continue to do so while the exposure settings are not changed. I have a VX-3000 and the same steps work with it. Only problem is the bug in 2.2 where you can't get to all the camera settings through freetrack, read this thread for the workaround http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=1169
