Hi everyone. Just this past weekend I managed to get Freetrack working after building a very ghetto (but functional!) three LED tracking headset for use in IL2 1946. So far, it’s worked very well but I have one problem I can’t seem to solve. I’ve been through every setting I can imagine.

Both the X and Y axis movements are very fast. If I turn my head to look at the wing of my plane or if I try to look at my instrument panel, I can’t keep the view steady. It’s constantly shaking and moving as the sensitivity seems to be so high. It makes it very difficult to track another plane or to try and look at one of my instruments.

Any ideas?

Is the leds from your "getto" system showing up small and bright clear in FT?

Have you tried to ad "soften" and then perhaps "large"under the "curves" section?
Cheers!

The LED's do display well in FT as I generally play in a darkened room. I've also sanded down the tips as suggested to get the best light. They do not flicker or get lost when I turn my head.

Yes, i've played with the curves section with no luck.

You have the right measurements of the leds and the right setup for them as well?
Cheers!

Hello nokinja

Have you already tried to adjust Yaw and pitch sensitivity, in profile tab ?

You have to adjust every axis sensitivity to your liking, BEFORE adjusting responsiveness by tweaking the curves.
