Hey,

i have windows vista ultimate 64bit with a ms vx1000 camera. i want to select i420, but this isn`t available. i know that i used this compression before, but don´t know if it was in vista oder xp.

does anybody know what i can do?

I'm having the same issue here, does I420 work on 64bit OS's?

Same here too... I can't find anything about it on google. None of the 3 webcams I have can do I420 in Vista, it's a bit odd not to find anything about it at all on t'interweb.  :unsure:

OK I've figured out part of this. i420 is a video compression codec made by Intel. The reason a few of us do not have that option is because the i420 codec is not installed on our system. The only thing I can't figure out is why us VX1000 users are the only ones without this codec. It might have something to do with the Vista drivers not including the i420 compression.

There is reference to this codec all over the internet, but I can't find a link to download it. If anyone has it, or knows where to find a working download, please let us know.
