All contributions welcome.

Less covered constructions include:
Glasses mounts.
Headphone mounts.
Single point tracking mounts.
Reflective tracking models and IR led arrays for illumination.

Pictures of your constructions may be added to the website Point model gallery.

Since the 4-point setup is now considered obsolete, i finally got around to building something to replace my 4-point LED cap, only this time i decided to go for reflective setup.
So, here's my newest creation - effect of mixing 1 DVD box, some reflective tape from 3M, about 3 hours, and two burned fingers :P

Of course to make it work, my IR-modified labtec webcam needed some illumination:

And the same with LEDs off.
And a few pictures of how it looks like trough th webcam (minimal gain, 1/33sec exposure - settings i usually use with freetrack):

I didn't do ingame testing yet, just tried it out in FT control panel, and it seems to work fine, especially after reducing webcam resolution (so that the points are smaller).

Deimos, Im building a similiar configuration, using a IR webcam and reflective tape.

You are a few steps ahead  ;) . Please post here ingame feedback and the behaviour in different light conditions.

Thanks!

My 3 point tracking assembly with construction instructions and pictures can be seen and discuss in this thread:

http://forum.free-track.net//index.php?showtopic=515

and it looks like this:

Initialy I wanted to be a 3 point reflective assembly but, I got discouraged by some trouble I had with the reflective materials and with the fact that most of my squad mates complained with light problems in their rooms. Maybe other time I will try one reflective version too.

Hi,
I've made a 3points clip FreeTrack :
- 3 IR leds
- 60ohms resistance
- 1 old USB mouse
- a 7 years old quickcam express webcam (without built-in IR filter)
- Some plastic
- An old negative film
- Scotch
- Few tools and 2 hours...

Posted Image
Led power supply is made with usb cable taken from the old mouse.

At the begining, i've got some halos on the webcam. Set current to 20mA instead of 40 and flatten leds lens was the solution.

It works perfectly !! 30fps, very good accuracy.
Thank you for making it possible !

My first one! Got it working great right after I fixed my computer issues :-).
Bad web cam and some clutter and flying in AHII and tracking great.

Two more.
It needs a little tidying up, clip away a few cables and to be honest, the emitters are too bright, but all in all, I'm very pleased with this.

Hello.
Excuse, but my English is weak. :-(
I got excellent results using surveillance camera and Pinacle DC10Plus.
