I'm about to ask a local photographer for some film to use as a visible light filter on my Logitech S5500. Should I ask for fully exposed film (black/dark) or unexposed film (medium brown/orange)?

Sorry for not rtfm-ing. The FAQ clearly states EXPOSED developed film.

I am using the piece of purplish plastic that comes on the front of older remote controls.

it seems to be a visible light filter (to make the remote work in a bright room, idk)

it blocks a lot of light but lets my IR leds through. I popped it off a remote I bought at the Goodwill for $1
