TO use TrackClip Pro with FreeTrack software, will I still have to remove IR filter from my webcam? Will I need any other hardware? I have a Toshiba Qosmio laptop with built in camera. Thank you for your help.

Do not use the internal webcam. Use an external one like this and remove the IR filter/lense and install floppy disk media for a filter.

Works great and is reasonable priced!

track clip pro isn't IR and wiimote ( official ) track only IR spots ( and also 3 dots at same time ) .

What makes you think it is not IR?
They emit a faint red color just like the SFH485P does. 880nM
There is a wavelength range in the IR part of the spectrum.
The Wimote probably has optimum results with 940nM  IR LEDs.
