sure do. nearly in the top 10 lol

edit: noticed the beta patch got installed as a mod folder....
but i dont think bmf allows mod folders at all?

so can i copy that beta exe into the main folder and run it from there? or need all the files included in the beta folder?

No, the beta exe should remain in the beta folder. All you have to do is patch the beta exe and make a shortcut on your desktop to the beta exe.

The beta patches can be used on all the servers. I play ArmA II multiplayer with a beta patch and have no problems at all.

yea ive noticed i actually can still join BMF with this mod folder running.....must be coz its official beta patch? usually mod folders cannot be used on BFM, and have to use vanilla arma2 to be able to join...

and yes the fixer works 100% with beta patches or the proper 1.04 itself :D

and im guessing if the track ir encryption doesnt change...it will work on future patches/cracks too :)

I'm assuming the Dirt2.exe in the first post is for the demo? Dirt2 fulll game seems to have a launcher (dirt2.exe) and the real executable (dirt2_game.exe). TrackIRFixer will not patch dirt2.exe, real or fixed but it will patch dirt2_game.exe if you rename it, however then the game will not load as the launcher seems to be detect dirt2_game.exe has been tampered with.

Does everyone else have the same issue? Anyone found a way around the launcher?

To think that i was going to buy a trackir 5, but if this is the way their company operates i'd rather not buy their products.

but enough of that, i came here because i wanted to play Dirt 2 with freetrack, hope someone will fix it.

Would it be possible to have this tool say... run in the background while the game is running instead of having it patch the exe file? You might not be able to play it online if it's patched...

Either way hope the full Dirt 2 game can be made to work!

Is the Steam version of Dirt 2 different than the retail-box version? Does the Steam version launch from dirt2.exe without Securom protection???

If so, does that mean that this tool SHOULD work for the Steam version of Dirt 2??? I really need to know befiore I buy the Full version of Dirt 2 and would like to know if anyone has gotten this tool to work with either the boxed version or the Steam version....

Anyone?????

I'm using the steam version, it looks like it's been updated for Dirt2 but I still can't seem to get it to work.

This is what I get when patching a fixed dirt.exe

"Log
---

Found DiRT 2 (dirt2.exe)
ERROR: Cannot find code to fix.
File may be encrypted or using different code."

Again, it will patch dirt2_game.exe if I rename it to dirt2.exe but then it wont launch.

Thank-you so much gray for your response. I intended on buying the Box version, but wasn't sure if the Steam version would work or not.

So I assume you have to have Steam running to run Dirt 2??? The only real reason I would get the Steam version normally is if I don't want the hassle of having a disc in the drive...
