Hi, first of all, thax to the creator!
Im having this problem: I installed the game, the patch, I've aplied the crack and the fixer. But Im missing something, I cant move the head in the game... Do I have to configure the game or something in special? or Its just like the IL2 & LFS, run FT, then run the game? Thx for the help, and again, Thx to the creator.

it seems that u have the correct exe... hmm
it is the EN (!) version from gamecopywo... right? because this exe works perfectly for me. you are right - you have to simply start freetrack, then the game and it shoudl work. be sure to aktivate trackIR in the options! maybe you should de- and again aktivate it. |

Ok i got a test running here for the wiimote.
I install the .exe from reloaded then i fix it with the freetrack fixer. run all very good. I start free track got the wiimote working in freetrack using one candle. Works all fine. I start Arma 2 it find the nintendo wiimote as a device and shown's a trackIR i enable them both nothing i enable one at a time nothing. What am I doing wrong here??? I don't know how it should look so i have no clue. I want to test it with an other game that is known to work but i don't know which game that is. |

This is an amazing contribution to the freetrack scene. Thanks a bunch dude, you are the man.
I've considered buying Arma 2. I play Arma 1 alot with freetrack and I absolutely love it. It's the greatest thing ever. I was extremely excited about Arma 2, but was horribly disappointed that I learned that it wouldnt work with freetrack. This has rekindled my interest in buying Arma 2, but I'm still not sure if I want to. Naturalpoint is basically just cockblocking freetrack, and bohemia, I think, is getting effed in the A too. This is a great workaround, but bohemia is still being really lame. Do I want to give them my money? I don't know. So for now all I have is the demo version (through steam) Is there any chance we could get the demo .exe working with this? It'd be really great to see what the game is like with freetrack. It might sway me into buying the game then. heh |

I little update on this: I run vista x64 and run freetrack as administrator. I tested it as mouse interface in arma2 and that worked arma picked up the wiimote as a mouse - still not working as a trackIR. I have the feeling its more a problem of setting it up then that it is with running the both cracks. |

Heya, if anyone is having trouble with this, I think I've found a fix. For some reason this stopped working when I plugged my joystick in and ran Arma 2. It confused the hell out of me all day yesterday, but I found a way to fix it.
If you go into My Documents -> Arma 2, you'll find a file called YourName.Arma2Profile. Open it with a text editor (notepad is fine), hit ctrl-F and search for "trackIR".. If that line says trackIR=1; then everything is fine if it says trackIR=0;, switch the 0 to a 1 and close the file. This will set it so trackIR works again! However if you have the same problem I had, it will reset as soon as you load up Arma! All you have to do to get around that is, RIGHT CLICK on YourName.Arma2Profile and go to properties.. You should find a check box that says "read only". Click it! Run Arma 2 again and all should be fine. Make sure you set your controls BEFORE you set that file to read only, or else I don't think they'll save. Tell me if it works! ^_^ |

Try adding that line and see what happens!

Does it need to have a special place in the file or can i just put it anywhere.
And it just TrackIR=1 nothing more? |

trackIR=1;
You should be able to put it just about anywhere in the file! I'm guessing you already tried and didnt have any luck? crossing my fingers for you anyway. |

Found it - but it didn't worked.
Does free track run on vista x64 and arma2 with the fixes? And can you use a 1 LED set in Arma2? |

I started out with FreeTrack 2 years ago and it has got better and better as time has gone on. I started with the 1 led solution TBone but found it is much better with the 3 leds it gives you the Roll Lean and true 6DOF and is much more accurate. Also I have a question for Quariion do you think you will do a patch for the Steam version of ArmA 2? and do you think there might be a out side solution to patching this so that we can play online with ArmA 2? and thanks for all your work so far in trying to provide us with a solution to such a great and over looked asset that FreeTrack is.
