Have you tried Google: "35mm film price cheap"

$1,69 is cheap !

Or try a cheap disposible camera. Rip out the film and with restmaterial you can make a nice taser  :lol:

Hello everyone, first thanks a lot for the builds showed in this thread they helped a lot building a nice working clip.

My question is i have built the parallel build which im currently using with a 4 aa battery holder. I found that since everytime i play a sim i play for more than one hour, my batteries dont last more than a week.

So if i have a parallel build is there any way i can use a cellphone charger power supply to power it?

The power supply gives 4.5 volts and consists of the wall socket and a micro usb to plug into the phone. If i cut and peel the cable does it have a positive and negative that i can just connect to the positive and negative on my parallel build and be good to go? If not is there any way to make it work without building another clip?

Hi,

difficult to answer on your question because you don't give technical spec's for your build.
Presuming you use 3 x 1.5V LED's with  56 Ohm resistors in parallel circuit:
- 80mA current with your 4 x 1.5 batterie supply.
- 50mA with 4.5V telephone charger.
it could works, but parallel circuit is not the best way in this case.

Thanks, lets see im gonna do my best since electronics arent my strong point.

Its a 3 point clip.

This are the leds i have http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/45384/SIEMENS/LD271.html

Also i have 3 33ohms resistors.


With the tips of the leds sanded and two aa batteries they bright up good and clearly to the cam to spot them without problem.

The power supply says in output: +4.5 - 9.5V ------- max 800mA

So those are the specs of what i have. I checked the link and the mini usb cable has a +5V, a ground and a d+ and d- cables, so in my little understanding of things i could hotwire the positive to the +5V (red) and the negative to the ground (black) cable and leave the other two unused? or should i do something different?

Again i dont know much about electronics so excuse me if i ask something obvious.

Well to answer my own question the cellphone charger with mini usb only has two cables inside so put postive and negative to my parallel build and its working fine so far.  :D

This appears to be a charger and not a constant voltage supply. Typically chargers are designed for constant current to charge a battery, where the voltage is a proportional function of the internal battery resistance and an inner phone circuitry regulates the charging rates.
I may be corrected, but for me that means, that in case of your LED circuit the only resistance is the 33Ohm resistor. So in worst case(9.5-1.5/33=0.242) 240mA can flow.
Verify if your LED's do not heats up unusual. Best way is to measure current flow.
And, as already said, the problem of parallel circuit for LED is, that you have current variation on each branch, that may easily lead to damage of all LEDs.
