Is there any difference between running 3 or 4 leds for 6 dof?

Three point and four point tracking use different algorithms but the end result is, for all intents and purposes, the same.

Hello All,

Quite the same Question between 4 and 1 Led mount ? is there
a difference regarding tracking performances ?

And a Bonus question : does Ft2 like to work with dual core CPU if not
is there any patch or fix to optimise this ? particularly the frame per second  rate acquisition.

Sorry for my approximative English.

with one LED you can only convert the 2D motion of the lightpoint on the screen into two rotation DOF. thats a big difference. so if you use only one LED, translations of the head will also be interpreted as rotations which can be really anoying.
try to get 3 or 4 LEDs working.

guys what's the difference between 3 and 4 mount led? besides the obvious mounting and ease of construction that is.

is there any difference in performance or some such? because I kinda want to make me a 3 mount led too :D. i already built myself the 4 mount btw, but the 3 mount looks simpler and refined, cooler in a way.
