im planning on doing the same as you did - i properly missed something on this thread, but did you remove the filter on the bad PS3 Eye version? or did you handle that with software or by some film ?

im placing an order on a track clip pro today :)

Hej

jeg bestilte fra rightthing.nl - men ja det er sku lidt dyrt.. har kørt med en A4tech cam + reflekser i noget tid - men kunne ikke game når solen var der :( så jeg har besluttet mig for at smide penge efte en IR led og få finger i en ps3 eye og fjerne ir filteret.

det er så hvad jeg har nået til indtil videre, men kan se at de har lavet om på de linser siden de første serie :(

Well, I bought TrackClip and the "bad" PS Eye.. Doesn't work good for me at all  :angry: I see just very small and dim dots comparing to big and bright on my phone camera. So I won't reccomend to anyone this set..

I, too, just bought a PS3 Eye + TrackClip Pro. It seems that FreeTrack is crashing whenever I try to adjust anything in relation to the camera - I can't even get the feed to show up in the program. Additionally, once I change settings, the feed goes black and the camera itself stops working until I uninstall the CLEye drivers completely. Any ideas?

I was having this problem.  Everytime I would select the ps3eye and click start, Free-Track would crash.  I ended up reading a thread on this forum where a "PS3Eye Fix" file was posted.  I downloaded this, unzipped it, and copied the 3 files and justed pasted them in the main FreeTrack folder.  Whatever it did fixed the crashing problem.  I will look now and see if I can find that thread again.

The problem I seem to be having now is that the software is not picking up(putting X's on) the LEDS.  I have messed around with the settings and gotten it to a point where it is showing the 3 LEDs as fairly nicely sized red blobs, and everything else is black.  To me this would seem like exactly what I want, however it does not pick up the three red blobs and therefore doesn't track them.  I am not sure why this is.  I have not modified the PS3eye in any way yet, as I have heard it is sometimes unnecessary.  Do you think it is just that I need to remove the IR filter, and then use a light blocking filter on the camera?  I thought of this, but I still dont know why its not working now, when I have gotten the display to show just the LEDS and everything else black already.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi.

I have PS3 Eye (The good one with removed IR filter), A4Tech PK333 (IR source) and original TrackClip.

PS3 Eye works fine with IR diodes but with TrackClip (Ilimunited by PK333) it doesn't work.

I even tried another PS3 Eye (The bad one with IR filter) and sitiuation is the same. I used another reflection. Result is the same as above.

Why PS3 Eye doesn't see the TrackClip? Any suggestions?
