Wow. These forums helped me a lot, and I'm planning to do a comparable setup for a 3-clip model.

In my case, I'm using 2x 1.2V rechargeable batteries, 3 SFH487P IR-LEDs and the LED wizard settings:

Type: 3 clip
Voltage: 2.4, Batteries
Forward V: 1.5
Forward C: 50 mA

-> 18 Ohms 5%

However, I'm a newb at soldering kinds of stuff, how to solder a parallel setup properly?

Now I have a "+" and a "-" wire from my battery pack, and 3 wires each with the LED and R. Can I simply merge the three to the "+" wire with 1 soldering point (same with "-") ?

My apologies if this question is totally trivia to you :blink:

Very good assumption! Indeed, all three resistor/led assemblies can link to the power supply at the same points( for both + and -). You don't have to link them like rungs on a latter.

With that said, you must use 3 resistors in a parallel circuit, I know you know this, but some people, after figuring out the single point bit, try the next leap and try to rule out the individual resistors for one larger one before the branch. That won't work as each led will use slighty different watts and burn out one by one.

I hope this helps!
