Hi there,

First post for me =)

Was just wondering what leds would be best for me to get from Maplin.co.uk

I am a bit unsure and really want to make this work the first time round. And of course I want them to be the best ones I can get =)

So any tips you would have would be really good. Here is a link to all the leds they have.

Hello,

this is the one you want from Maplin:

enter these specs in the led wizard to get the resistor value you will need:

foward voltage:  1.3v
foward current:   65ma   <----- this is half the max, but you can go down as far as 25%, or as hight as 75%


Specify the number or leds (most likely 3) and the power supply you will be using.


These led's are 5mm, so they will be perfect for what you need. ;)

Hej marcusw.... really big thanks.

Now all I need is time after work to run down and get then =)

Would I need to file this one flat? Or even if I dont need to would it be better if I did?

Will post pictures once I am done.

Yeah, usually, that is better when filed flat :) . The viewing angle is really better !
