Hello!
First of all I want to thank to developers of this great software!!!
I wonder could someone tell me how many IR leds vx 1000 camera have.
I'm experimenting with just flourescent 3 point clip, and now I'm using
MSI 370i camera.Reesults are not bad, but I have big jitter  > 20.
I suspect thats because of camera. Jitter is same if i try with leds.

 Thanks in advance )

Hello Vranac.

Usually, webcams have NO leds.

The only exceptions are low light or Ir webcam, which have often 4 to 8 builtin ir leds.

The VX1000 is a "standard" webcam , so no builtin IR led.

Thank you for quick answer.
This msi have 3 leds, i saw 1 on vx1000 but that must be white led.
I saw some a4tech have 6 IR leds, but i think that one have lower
framerates.
If someone have some info about other webcams and number of
IR leds on them please write )

I'm guessing the led you are seeing is to indicate that there is power going to it.

Off line Www

I think I see where this is going... Are you going to try to use the power indicator to wire in your LED array for a reflective system? I wonder if that is possible. Would be an extremely ergonomic approach, if it doesnt fry anything.
The only way to fly!!!

Now that i think of it - it is quite a good idea... The LEDs would be on only when the webcam is active and recording. I think i'll have to try it ;)
Of course attaching your IR LED array directly to status LED leads will result in eighter frying the camera electronics, the USB port, or the LEDs just being dim - depending on how lucky you are :P
But the status LED can still be used for example to drive a photocoupler (which is basically a LED and a phototransistor in a single package) that would conduct or cut off power from an external source (DC adapter in my case), depending on the state of the LED.
