I am switching to a battery powered set up to a one powered by USB. I am wondering if any USB cable will be able to accomplish this. I do not have any USB mouse sitting around but I have a USB cable that came with my digital camera. Would that work? Before I take it apart I would like a confirmation that I can use it. This cable is a simple USB to mini-USB.

Also all many wires will I find inside?

No problem, you can use any USB cable.
This is what you will find in.

Some USB cable from USB geeks only use 5V and ground so you only find two wires in it.
Please use a USB charger to plug in and not your motherboard if you do not know exactly how to wire it up and if you do not use a PTC fuse. Otherwise you can damage your motherboard.
