Hi all,
I've been using FT with FSX for a few weeks now, and whilst it works ok in the main, I'm wondering if I am initiating it correctly as I seem to have to configure it EVERY time I use it.
1. Boot PC + run FreeTrack software
2. Click Start (see
http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/2076/27161542.png for info)
3. Webcam (Logitec C160) properties appear, and FT shows 3 dots and config from previous session. A message from FT appears saying 'do you want to close FreeTrack?'... this is confusing.. Why would I want to close it if I just clicked Start? I click 'no', otherwise the sofware shuts down.
4. Once I click 'no', the FT settings are lost and it reverts to a default config, meaning I have to set the Threshold and camera brightness, contrast, exposure all again until I get a good framerate. The webcam properties always resets to minimum too - even If I 'save' the config. in the webcam Properties window.
Shouldn't I be able to keep the same settings from session to session? I've set up a FT Profile specifically for FSX, but the settings get lost regardless.
Could users explain how they go about initialising FT before they use it in their applications pls?
Another question I have - Sometimes if I exit, then re-enter FSX with FT running, FSX will 'forget' I'm using the headset, so no movement is tracked in the flightsim, even tho the skull in FT is moving correctly. Is there a way to make FSX 'remember' that I'm using the motion device?
Thank you one and all.
