Found the Microsoft VX-2000, 5000, and 5500 series in my local stores. The VX-2000 is on sale for $20.
It is the same series as the recommended units in the FT lists, but not the exact model.
Any comments / feedback on these units? I have until the 9th to purchase that unit on sale.
P.S. Will removing the IR filter affect normal use of the webcam negatively?
