Hi!
I modified my webcam but I see only black screen. I tried to test it with remote controler-> but no dots.
Shows me 14FPs.

Do I have a wrong camera?
Can I do anything with this webcam without IR filter, or throw it away?

What camera are you using and what PC operating system?

I was having this issue.

for some reason when I tried to set the exposure it would black screen.

when i rebooted it was able to scan again.  I found that adjusting the focus
may have been the problem.  Check my specters guide for noobs post and follow the steps in the adjust settings section.  Maybe it would help.

I dont know the name of the camera, its older one. I use XP, SP2.
Before I removed the IR I could see everything. Now- is only black screen.

I think I should see at least outline/shape of my head- like in this picture. BUT I SEE ONLY BLACK SCREEN.

Black screen is all you should see, only the IR LED's should be seen in the black screen area.

Post a picture of the camera. Must be some markings on it to show brand or model.
Are you located in the USA?
Did you install a light filter (floppy disk media)?
If you did not, then the camera should still image almost the same as before the IR filter removal.

What were the steps you used to remove the IR filter?
