I need some help with this software.  Im completely new to this.  I went out and bought a Logiteck webcam 120.  I was watching the turorial videos and really dont want to remove the filter on the webcam.  Its ok if I have to, but one of the videos said they use yellow LED's so they dont have to remove the filter.

Well, I have radio shacks near me.  Its what im familiar with.  Can someone make me a shopping list?

curiousity.  I ran out to the local hardware store and they did not have any LED's the way I would have liked to purchase them.  But as I was walking out they had these LED book lights marked down for 1.99 each.  I thought How easy they would be to use and thought I would give them a try.

Heres how they look on a hat.

I have yet to remove the filter on the cam.  and testing with the filter the results are a bit scetchy.  Of course, IM new to using it anyway.

Do I really have to remove the filter?

You should spent some time to read documentation in FT installation folder...

IR is used bcs it's invisible to human eye. Only for that. Most cameras have IR filter to prevent this kind of light entering it. That's why IR filter should be removed. It's not mandatory. It depends on many factors.

I'm wondering if that setup is going to be too wide for the camera.  Keep us updated on you progress.  I would like to know if you get it to work.

Thanks for posting here.  I was having problems with windows7 capturing the video.  I just re-installed to a duel boot now, so I have windows xp working with free track actually working.  Good start.

My issue as of now.  The darkening filter I used was from a floppy disk and it seems to be too dark.  the light coming from the LED's are too small and they break from the capture too often. Im going to try a piece of film next to see if that works.
