"Exception EAccessViolation in module FreeTrack.exe at 00019779.
Access violation at address 00419779 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'. Read of address 40239CA6"

Hi Everyone!

I am stuck with this error in my new laptop. It has a native 1920x1080 15.6" resolution. The 96 dpi trick did not work for me. It still gives the above error message.

Besides I need a magnifier to look to the screen when it is 96dpi.

I am not sure but problem could be a side-effect of high resolution with a different screen proportion.

I am desperately looking for a patch or solution.
Kestrel, Babasior! Can you help us?

My guess is, that this is a well known error, but probably in this version isnt any solution to fix it.. I think we have to wait for another release of freetrack, which will fix theese access violations in Win7, Vista... You can use previous version (2.1) like me, while new version will be available

Hi There,

For information,

I recently plug a second 19" LCD with 1400x900 resolution and extended my desktop. I find out that when I plug the LCD, free-track starts working and when I unplug it, it goes back to "Access Violation Error"

Come on guys this cant be that hard.

I still have the problem but  sure there is to be a bug in somewhere cause it sometimes works (%1, %99 and not). I still cant figure out what makes it work. Maybe after a task in the background killed or a driver or something else. No significant clues.

Can someone in technically speaking what really cause to the access violation error? A memory access to the same address? A CPU access or what? Or does anyone knows hot to debug the error code?

I have the same error and am looking for a solution.  I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate.  2.1 works fine, but 2.2 does not.

I did have a direct x error before, but installing direct x 9 seems to have solved that problem.  Now this...
