Hello, I'm using very old camera from Labtec. Don't really know how its called but I think it is just Labtec Webcam, hope the picture helps some of you to identify it.

The first question is will it be compatible with FreeTrack software at all?

I tested camera with TV remote control and it actually captures IR signal from it. However I want to remove IR filter anyway to get better results.
What I'm not sure is where exactly is that filter located on this camera?
I have disassembled camera and I'm not sure if the filter is located on the optics sensor (small card don't know how its called) or inside lens itself?

In either case I don't know how to remove filter from optics sensors because it seems to be glued to it? However that filter could be just some kind of mechanical protection so I don't want to break it until I'm completly sure.

And about plastic tube and lens... I don't see any normal way to open it beside breaking everything :)) If needed I might post some pictures of camera it self (parts of it).

Thanks in advance.

Well after some time I managed to break filter from optics sensor (yes it was glued, reflected red light...) however camera is now dead :))
I don't think I scratched surface beneath filter but anyway usb ports don't recognize it when plugged in...  :gene:

guess I'll have to buy new webcam anyway...
