I know FOV would depend on the webcam and LEDs used so this is a pretty broad question, but I'll try it anyway: what approximate FOV have you managed to get with you Free-Track system compared to TrackIR 4's 46 degrees and TrackIR 5's 51.7 degreses?

Well, it depends on webcams FOV which is 55-56 degrees (diagonal) for some i checked. TrackIR states horizontal one. I think it may be something like 64 diagonal degrees  for TIR 5 and 57 diagonal degrees for TIR 4 using Pythagorean theorem.

When it comes to LEDs its restrictive to rotation, while camera FOV is restrictive to translational motion. So its different problem.
