Hi!
At the beginning I'd like to apologize for my English. Next, I would like to thank to whole FreeTrack team for their great work. I would to thank to the FT community for their advices.

Today I made another version of the 3 point cap - this time I used very strong IR LEDs - Vishnay TSAL 6400. I was testing it with wiimote. It works well, nearly 100FPS, accurate tracking but it still has 50-60 JPS.

I wanted to try my old webcam with this new cap - Microsoft VX300 (it worked great before). I had to installed it so I downloaded drivers (Lifecam 3.0) from MS site. I was trying FT (still with Wiimote) during webcam's installation. Suddenly the installation finished and the MS Lifecam run and appeared on the desktop. I was trying to shut this application down when i saw that JPS was reduced!

Look at those screenshots:

Without MS lifecam running I have 50-60 JPS.
With MS lifecam running I have 20-30JPS.
With MS lifecam running but minimized I have 15-25 JPS.

I can't explain this but I think the jittering is not related to Wiimote itself. Can you confirm my observations?

My specs are:
WinXP SP2
Bluesoleil 2.3
cheap standard bluetooth dongle
MS VX-3000 (with Lifecam 3.0)
Wiimote

Regards,
s.

From the software FAQ:

High jitter can be caused by anti-flicker being enabled or equivalently, outdoors mode being disabled.

check those.
Also if your leds wavelenght is little out of range might cause this. Or maybe they are too bright? (bigger resistor needed?)

Did you reinstall FT after you started using webcam? The new webcam software might have corrupted FT somehow, so i would try reinstalling FT.

Hope these help.
