*Edit - I now have this working - see below for details*

:blink: Can I use an old Notebook LED travel light (a bendy rod with an LED at one end and a USB plug at the other) as a power source for my 3 point head clip.  My clip is made from a modified bike light and currently takes 2 AAA batteries (1.5v each)?

:pigekedal: I would be looking at removing the LED from the rod (there is a resitor in line) and connecting the two leads to the battery terminals within the bike light.

:wacko: I don't know any voltages at the moment as I've left my multi meter at work...

I did it..!    :D

Using the leads from the light and the resistor in-line it powers up the head clip perfectly.  No more battery changes for this call sign... :rolleyes:
