Hi,

I am planning to make a wiimote based freetrack system.

I was wondering if anyone knew the current draw of a wiimote and whether or not it will be practical to power one from a USB port?

I'm also getting conflicting info regarding the max current a "low power" USB device can recieve without needing to "request" more. People seem to say 100mA or 500mA. Does anyone know which is correct?

(Is this the type of IR LED I'm going to need? http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/en/product/Z3235 )

Thanks,

For wiimote I have batteries to conect via USB...like this:

http://wiispot.com/rechargeable-wiimote-battery-dock/352/

I use one of this, and wiimote its all time connected via USB on my TFT.
(only with a cable from usb to battery).
I was purchase for 12€....I think...more or less...

For leds....Im sorry, but Im use TrackClip Pro via USB too...35€ more or less...
