SFH485P   5mm   80deg     <--- best choice
SFH487P   3mm   130deg

3mm is too small
130deg is unnecessary and reduces brightness

As for colour I have 2 blue and a single white in the middle. White comes out much better that the blue. Unless they are IR leds it would seem that a coloured bulb actualy blocks alot of the light that you want.

Also you dont want a long bulb becouse when you turn more side on it may register as two lights as the base of the bulb is where the light emits from the top of the bulb is a lense wich will refract the light making it apear brighter. forcing you to cover up the sides of the base which you dont wan't to do becouse you end up reducing the amout of light that is showen at sertain anlges.  This only somtimes happens with my blue lights, so if i had a choise i would use white lights on the outside Becouse thay are un filtered?

dose that make any sence. I've kinda been awake for about 50 houres straight so im not realy all there at the moment. It's 5:33 AM im off.
