Off line

I am running Free Track ver 2.1 with a Sony Eyetoy (Namtai version).

Incidentally, with three filed down IR LED's and two pieces of exposed colour film over the lens it works superbly. Definitely no IR filter removal required.

Anyway, back to the problem.

The drivers are exactly the same on both PC's (copied from one to another). Both PC's run XP SP2.

On my slow Athlon 64 PC, I get a decent 30 frames per sec, and very low jitter. The graphics card isn't up to the task of flying sims, so I use my laptop.... the plot thickens.

On my fast sim-capable dual core laptop, bizarrely I get only 15 frames per sec and about 7 or 8 frames of jitter with exactly the same settings.

I am running the camera with I420 compression, and the recommended resolution.

I just can't understand why my fast laptop can't run the camera up to speed.?

Any thoughts?

Thanks - Rob
