Hey there, i play black shark a lot with Freetrack. I've noticed that if you look out of the window to the left or the right, and then lean forward, it actually still makes your body go towards the front of the cockpit, as opposed to letting you lean closer to the window. So if i want to look out towards one of my stub wings to see how many rockets i have left, i'll tilt my head to look in that direction, and then have to lean left or right as opposed to just moving my head forwards which you would expect to zoom.

Good lord this is hard to explain.

Also, axes seem to get reversed when looking behind or down, i would have thought the program would compensate for that.

Does anyone follow me?

I notice this in games too, and I agree that it it would be nice if it worked differently (at least as a toggle option).

I think moving your head towards the direction you're looking should move the in-game camera in the same way.  But right now, you have to move your head in the Z direction (towards or away from the webcam) to move the in-game camera forwards and backwards even if you're not facing at the webcam (if for example you're looking at something beside you in-game).

Meaning, if you wanted to move the in-game camera closer to something you're looking at beside you, you have to move your head towards the webcam, instead of towards where you're facing.

I hope that makes sense too :)

You can do this in the advanced tab, in the head relative translation section, check all the boxes. Done.

Under the Profile button up the top, where you set up your sensitivities, there are two tabs, one 'Profile' (again), and then 'Advanced'. Advanced contains the elusive settings.
