Hello all,

a couple of years ago I bought a naturalpoint smartnav cam from ebay. It looks like the Smartnav 3 but has a completely black housing. It works quite well with Trackir Software version 3.13.

I would like to try it with freetrack but I did read that the support for trackir devices has been stopped.

My questions:
1. Which is the last version of freetrack that supports trackir cams (and where do I get it)?
2. What exactly do I have to do (install) to use it?
3. Can I use it for 6dof then?

Thanks a lot!

I uninstalled naturalpoint software, unplugged my cam rebooted  and installed optitrack (version ...35 because of the drivers). Plugging in the cam let xp report that it found new hardware but it doesn't recognise it. Pointing to the drivers directory in the optitrack directory doesn't work. It says it didn't find drivers.

How do I install the cam as "normal" cam so that freetrack can use it?

It's the smartnav 1 / trackir 1 cam.

Could someone please help me and advise what exactly is to do? What do I have to install in what order? Thanks a lot!
