Apologies if this is a n00b question. I have both metal film resistors and metal oxide film resistors in the values that I need. The metal film resistors are rated to 1/4 of a Watt and have a tolerance of ±1%, whereas the metal oxide film ones are rated to a full 1 Watt and have a tolerance of ±5%.
I'll be powering three 1.35V/100mA LEDs (to be powered at 60mA) with a single 9V battery.
Which resistor type would I be better off using?

Hello Katachi
As for Freetrack , you can use whatever you want.
Metal resistors are already overkill for this task, as carbon resistors are more than enough.
So you can get whatever tolerance value and resistor model you like, just go for the cheapest :
just take care of those 2 values :
- resistor value in ohms
- power rating : you'll have to get at least twice the indicated dissipated power (in the led wizard window)
