Hi all,

I just built the 3-point clip using the default measurements.  I'm using a logitech QuickCam with IR filter removed and floppy disc filter in-place.

The problem I'm having is distance and angle between me and the camera.  We use a 42" LCD TV and a Media Center computer.  I sit maybe 6' back from the TV.

If I put the cam on top of the TV, the signal is very weak from the IR LEDs.  If I put it on the table in front of me, the angle is all wrong and I get more movement in one direction than the other.

Has anyone dealt with head tracking from a distance?

Should I get another cam with a zoom feature?

Should I build some kind of tripod to mount the camera between me and the TV?

Use a less dense filter so it can see the led's better?!

So, there is no real issue with FT working at a distance of 2~3 meters from the webcam?

I'll be switching to a Wiimote as soon as I can get a BT adapter for my PC.

I mean, do you need to make the measurements between the LEDs bigger to account for the increased distance?

I beleive you would need to change the distances between the leds.

the nintendo wii 'sensor bar' has 4 leds per point, so you would probably need to do something similar, in addition to making the model bigger
