I down loaded 2.2, I set it up for my hat. It was slow so I increased the sensitivity and it was smooth and almost perfect, I clicked one time on smoothness and its been a piece of crap since.
I've set it back to default, I've uninstalled it and reinstalled, called my girlfriend a winch, hit the wall, and nothing helps. It jerks like crazy, I haven't even been able to open FSX yet, because the program is so jerky, AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!! How can I get it smooth like the first time? Track IR is in my future and Free-Track is going to go the way of another program (Cachya) that had issues with it, its not worth the freaking hassle if you can't get it set up. My frame rates are set the same for FT and my camera, AE is disabled. The very first time I opened it, I set the dimensions for my 3 point cap, I increased the sensitivities a little, set it to my camera instead of video, and pressed start, it was amazing, for a few seconds, and its been crap ever since. I've got all green indicating its picking up my points, good FPS, hardly any JPS, and I'm about to give up. Any help will be appreciated. I almost hit the donate button before I even downloaded 2.2, I'm glad I didn't yet, if I get it working even half as good as 2.1 I'll gladly donate. Can I get 2.1 back? Can I get some advice on this? And please let me know if you are having problems. Thank you.

What is going on, before I start FSX FT is all jerky, when I start FSX FT works for a few seconds with one point-2DOF, and not at all with 3 points-6DOF, but when I minimize FSX FT is smooth as silk.
But it doesn't work at all with 6DOF, its screwed up!!! Why is the little screen jerky with only FT running, and smooth with FSX running also and minimized, then not working properly in FSX? I think I'm getting closer, but I'm not investing in a Wiimote or donation until I get some help and get it working. Thanks for any help. |

I've got no idea about why it's acting like that... but I'm not a programmer ...
Did you try to uninstall it and to install it again ? Rémy |

I've got 2 DOF working well with 1 point, but cannot get the 3 point hat with 6 DOF working properly inside FSX, although it works fine on the FT interface, any suggestions?

Anyone have v2.2 working good?
I have my doubts about downloading new version. V2.1.2 works fine. Is "Perfect" enemy for "Good"?(Russian byword)

I didn't have much time to play with 2.2 last night, but I couldn't get it working right, though I don't know if it's down to a configuration issue or something more difficult to pin down.
I'm running with a wiimote and a 3 point clip. When I turn my head left - right at the ends of the movement the skull onscreen tilts downwards. If I tilt my head up and down, the skull only seems to move in one half of the axis. Rolling is also messed up, I can't really explain what it shows. Tonight I'll try reinstalling, and trying a different bluetooth stack. I seemed to be getting quite high JPS, which I didn't expect with a wiimote, so I'll dump bluesoleil and track down another one. Sorry to you guys for bringing up problems so quickly after release, it must feel quite disheartening having issues after a build up to a new release |

I got the single point hat working great with barely any frame rate hit, if any at all, I love the new easier dead zone settings and other settings, I just can't get the the 6 DOF settings right with 3 points.
My 3 point hat has 3 IR's and worked well with 2.1 except for zooming backward when I looked right, my single point hat has a simple red wide beam LED and works awesome, it is a very simple and cheap headtracking solution, 2 DOF is far better than using the hat switch to pan with. It will all work out great, its got to be something simple, I just need to iscover what I'm missing. |

FT 2.2 works OK in Il2:1946, I would say - even better than 2.1.

Also problems for me...
Though FT 2.1.2 worked "well" with my FSX, i found that there was enough space for improvements, especially in the "Z"-Axis, wich was horrible on my System. So i hoped in ver. 2.2 And im truely disappointed I can´t get it to work at all. While FS9/FSUIPC seems to work together, FSX/Simmconnect don´t. I can´t see the VC, my head/plane is moving arround about 500m ( all Sliders at 1.0 or less). I renewed my directX 9, reinstalled FT after a complete deinstall and cleaning the registry by Hand ... nothing helps. Anything goes terrible wrong with simconnect, or am i to stupid . Unfortunatly the actual manual is french, one of the languages i don´t speak Any suggestions ? |

I'm have the same problem in FSX: Spot view works fine, but head movement in vc mode is uncontrollably exaggerated. Also, x and y axes in FS9 don't seem to be functioning.
While there appears to be some problems with v2.2, really do appreciate the effort the Freetrack team has put into the latest release. |

Hmm
I now installed FT 2.1 next to FT 2.2 in an own Folder... 2.1 still runs perfekt, exept my known problems. So, someting went wrong in 2.2 |

I would say the same - 20 minutes of settings + 1/2 hour in game (Il2) and everything was just fine. More test reports tomorrow when I will get a Wiiremote :-) Sorbifer. |

Sorry, but FS2004 not working perfectly. Works like in the 2.1. I have only 4 axis: x,y,z,zoom.
The freetrack software works untill restart them . After restart the FPS went to single digit(5fps). After reconfigure amptrack camera software, the fps go back to normal. |

Hi !
I experienced this kind of problem with an early beta. I fixed it by reinstalling Simconnect (or FSX and Simconnect, I can't remember). Plus there is an new option which allow you to block backward movement so you don't get behind your seat. There always have been a problem with Z axis and FSX, try this option, maybe you'll fix it ?
There is an entire new documentation in english ! Check Start -> FreeTrack or the FreeTrack folder and you'll find it. However, there is as well a manual in French, but it's not the same. Good luck and I hope you'll enjoy FT2.2 soon ! Rémy PS : caaront, try the same with your set up. And check the dimensions of your model, even try to measure them and retype them. |
