Hi

I plan to build a 3 LED (SFH485P) clip setup, with the Microsoft VX1000 webcam, that is powered by an USB port
(yes, I'm aware of the danger to damage the mainboard). I'm getting help from a Professional when building the circuit, so don't worry.

I would like to work with an unmodified webcam, that I can still use the cam for other purposes, without having to re-attach the IR-filter. So I will try to power the LED's with 50 mA each, in a serial circuit.

This is what the Wizard said:

Is this correct so far?

I now need to know what ressistance to use? 10Ohm   0.25Watt (1/4Watt)?

And for safety a PTC Fuse with a 0.2A current cutoff?

Am I right so far? Thank you for your assistance.

Hello fighterpilot

it seems all good to me

just try to find a 100mA (0.1A) ptc fuse, it's more adequate.
